The rules, in language you can actually read.
Nine short sections. Each one opens with a plain-english summary so you can skim honestly instead of pretending to read.
1. The agreement
Use the service, follow these rules. You keep owning your code.
By authorising BossHosting with your Discord account you accept these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.
You retain full ownership of everything you upload. We claim no licence to your code beyond what is technically required to store, build and run it for you.
2. Accounts
One Discord account, one BossHosting account. Sharing it is on you.
Access is tied to your Discord identity. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions by anyone you share access with. If your Discord account is compromised, revoke your BossHosting sessions from Settings immediately.
You must be at least 13, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher.
3. Acceptable use
No crypto mining, no proxies, no self-bots, no attacking anyone.
The free tier exists because most bots are small. Abusing it ruins it for everyone, so the following will get a container suspended without warning:
- mining
- Cryptocurrency mining or any proof-of-work workload.
- proxying
- VPNs, open proxies, tunnels or traffic relays.
- self-bots
- Automating a user account, which also breaks Discord's own terms.
- attacks
- DDoS tooling, scanning, credential stuffing or spam.
- illegal content
- Anything unlawful where we or you operate.
4. Fair use of resources
Sustained 100% CPU on a shared plan will get throttled, then paused.
Plans advertise a CPU allowance, not an exclusive core. Short bursts are fine and expected. A container pinned at its ceiling for hours affects its neighbours, so we throttle first, warn you through your Discord webhook, and pause the container if nothing changes.
5. Payment, credits and refunds
Monthly through Stripe. Refunds within 7 days if you barely used it. Credits are not money.
Paid plans bill monthly in advance through Stripe. Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period; upgrades are prorated immediately.
Credits earned from ads or referrals have no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and may expire after 12 months of account inactivity. We will refund a paid plan within seven days of purchase if you have used a negligible amount of resources.
6. Uptime and support
We target 99.9%. There is no SLA on the free tier. Support is Discord-only.
We target 99.9% monthly uptime on paid plans, excluding scheduled maintenance announced at least 24 hours ahead. Free tier containers carry no uptime commitment and may be moved or restarted for capacity.
Support runs entirely through the community Discord server: the public #help channel, or a private ticket from #tickets. There is no support email address. We only email you account and billing notices, and we will never ask for your password or a bot token by email.
7. Suspension and termination
Serious abuse gets an instant suspension; everything else gets a warning first.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Except for severe abuse - attacks, illegal content, payment fraud - you will get notice and a chance to fix it. You can close your account at any time from Settings; we do not do retention phone calls.
8. Liability
Provided as-is. Our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data beyond our backup obligations, or damage to your Discord community.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
Texas law, Texas courts. Your local consumer rights still apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
